I have friends (BBQ addicts and others) who tell me Hill Country Barbecue Market in New York is the best Texas BBQ outside of Texas. I do know they take their barbecue very seriously and from their website they say, “Taking a ‘cue’ from legendary barbecue establishment Kreuz Market and it’s distinctive, dry-rub style, Hill Country’s brisket, sausage, ribs, and other meats are smoked low and slow over Texas post oak. The barbecue is served in butcher paper, counter-style by the pound, with traditional trimmings.”
If you get a chance to check it out let me know (and if you’re from Texas I would really like to know how it compares to your favorite Texas joints). Please shoot me some pics too as I’ll post them to this blog.
