Texas Picture of the Day

Today’s pic was taken on S. Congress. This ‘Chia-Cow’ is part of CowParade which from the website is described as “the largest and most recognized public art event in the world. CowParade exhibits, held in 75 cities in 30 countries on six continents to date, have produced more than 5,000 of the signature cow canvases by local artists.” These cows have been placed all around the city in a sort of “Where’s Waldo” cow search for those interested.

Have you seen any around Austin or your city?

  1. Not bulls but bears. In Knoxville they did a theme with black bears since we are in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Locations all over the city had a bear statue and each was painted differently by a local artist.
