Here’s a photo I took yesterday outside of a convenience store in Taylor, Texas. The storm that pelted the Austin area for nearly the entire day was breaking. Hopefully it’s a precursor to nice weather for the remainder of the week.

I really like the guys (Heath and Brett) at Pork Barrel BBQ. They have such enthusiasm for both BBQ and business that it’s quite infectious. It was this passion that scored an investment from New York real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran on NBC’s Shark Tank which in turn propelled them into the spotlight for their sauces and rub.
As time went on and their success grew with their products (they have since added Peanuts and a Barbeque Cologne (yes, Cologne) to their offerings) I knew their dream was to open a BBQ joint in Virginia. Well that dream became a reality last week when they officially open the doors to Pork Barrel BBQ Restaurant – Del Ray. While I haven’t been able to visit, here are some photos that Heath shared with me. As I get more I will add to this collection.
